Got to Get 1964 Into Your Life

Dubbed the “Best Beatles Tribute on Earth”, compliments of Rolling Stone Magazine, 1964 The Tribute is heading to Annapolis August 1st.

1964

Help! Are you skeptical of the tribute cover bands? I know I am… but from me to you, I’d say you can trust Rolling Stone’s judgement eight days a week. What seperates 1964 from other Beatles tributes is their ability to authentically recreate the live Beatles experience (reminds me of Dark Star Orchestra’s commitment to recreating the Grateful Dead). At most tribute concerts I close my eyes and pretend the music is the original… but not with 1964. Their instruments, costumes, hair, and even stage banter will have you believing its the Beatles.

So round up your Beatle fanatic friends, flashback, and let 1964 please please you because the Rams Head On Stage will still need you and will still feed you when you’re 64.

Rams Head Tavern Host A Five Course Beer Dinner

beer dinner

The Rams Head Tavern and Old Dominion Brewing Company are pleased to announce the five course beer dinner on Thursday, March 4th, 2010 from 7pm-9pm.

All dishes will be paired with beers from one of the most acclaimed craft breweries in the Mid-Atlantic, Old Dominion Brewing Co. Founded in Ashburn, VA in 1989 and now brewed in Dover, Delaware.

This particular evening will feature 5 of Dominions craft beers….from the bold and spicy Hop Mountain Pale Ale to the rich, warm Oak Barrel Stout. In an effort to perfectly pair these various hops and malts with the appropriate dish, Chef John “J J” Jennings has designed a menu that combines both local favorites and traditional classics.

Spend a winter evening tantalizing your taste buds with one of Rams Head’s semi-annual beer dinners. “Our first beer dinner was a huge success. We sold out the event quickly and everyone highly enjoyed the evening” says Rams Head Tavern General Manager, Mark Colberg.

If you don’t ride bikes, but love movies! I highly recommend coming to Rams Head On Stage this Saturday, February 13th for the movie screening of the independent movie,‘ New York Lately’. Director Gary King of New York City and Cast of the movie will be flying to Annapolis for a special appearance at the NEW YORK LATELY showing. Happy Hour Prices when the Temp Dips!

How much do you love beer? Okay okay…. pipe down! How much do you like cheap beer? Whoa whoa whoa! Everyone… please…. take your seats.  There’s probably a few available on the patio… where we’ll be serving our happy hour specials every time the temperature dips below 32 degrees!

Polar Bear Club: “How the bold ‘bear’ the cold”

Polar Bear Club

That’s right friends! $2.50 Drafts, House Wines and Rail Drinks in the Beer Garden everytime Annapolis freezes. Beginning today, January 27th, combat the cold by warming your bones with cheap brews and heat lamps in the Rams Head Tavern’s Beer Garden. Keep your peepers open for our Arctic Alert light. Our managment and staff will be watching the thermometer ever so closely. Every time that that mercury dips to 32 degrees or below, the Arctic Alert will be lit and happy hour prices will be honored on the patio until it warms… or until the doors close… which ever comes first.

Yeah, winter stinks and can’t end soon enough. But until it does we’ll just have to grin and “bear” it (sorry, I couldn’t help myself) by running the Polar Bear Club promotion from open to close for the rest of the season. Cool? (sorry, again… couldn’t help it)
